New bags.

Okay, it's been some time since I posted, life has been a bit crazy.
I have made several diaper bag/ book bag style bags and want to share them with you.
This bag can be used for a diaper bag,  book bag or lap top bag. The black, white, and red bag is actually being used as a camera bag, I made lots of deep pockets for her lens.
Her daughter loved it so much we made a book bag for her. Her book bag is the lovely skull fabric. She only wanted one deep pocket for a water bottle and a smaller pocket for a phone.
So you see this is a very versatile bag and can be custom made for many functions.

Where does all the time go?

I can't quite figure out where my day goes???  Have I lost a few hours in all my fabric? Hopefully I will find all those lost hours and get all those items on my to do list finished. One can dream.
I have gotten some great feedback on my purses, several women have told me all the different ways they are using my purse. I have been told, it works great as a mini diaper bag, a camera bag, and a great carry all for traveling.
I have also been asked if I am planning on creating a new style. The answer is YES !!!
After the holiday I am going to be creating a new bag as well as a tote bag.
Would love to hear what type of purse you would like to have.

Life is Good.

Yesterday I had the most incredible day.
Several months ago my daughter Amanda was making a paper mache project for school, while ripping the paper she came across an Amazing Mom contest put on by Aqua Fresh.
She ripped out the ad, filled it out and asked me for a stamp and envelope. When I asked what it was for she said, a surprise. Well, a couple weeks ago I get a call telling me I won the Amazing Mom contest that my daughter Amanda had filled out.
So yesterday,  along with 49 other women we were taken by limo to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Scottsdale for a day at their Avenia Spa. Once we arrived we were given flowers and a big canvas bag filled with all kinds of products a wonderful fluffy robe and slippers. We were told to change into our robs and meet for breakfast. We were greeted by one of the big executives at Aqua Fresh who told us there were over 800 entries and we were the lucky 50 women to win. Brenda Warner wife of  Kurt Warner, the quarterback for the Cardinals was a guess speaker and was very nice to share her Amazing Mom story.
After breakfast we were received our itinerary for the day.
I spent my day getting a massage, facial, manicure, a wonderful soak in their mineral bath, yoga, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and relaxing in the meditation room as well as a delicious lunch. I also spent the day getting to know some amazing women as well.
Yesterday was also the day I had signed up to do a holiday boutique. So when I got the news about the contest I called my sister Kathy and she was willing to do my boutique for me, knowing I was going off to get pampered. So I owe Kathy and Kristin a big Thank You for working the holiday boutique and spreading the word about One of a Kind Purse by Sew Bella.

Good Morning everyone.
Can you believe we are into December already, ugh !!!!

Well, I got one of the diaper bags finished yesterday and it really turned out cute.
I am hoping to get the green one done today and get both of them posted on the blog.
When I first started making them I was going to put a pocket on the outside for maybe a bottle. However, I spoke with a friends sister who has two small children and she says she wants diaper bags that don't look like a diaper bag so she prefers the pockets on the inside. Maybe I will switch up and do it different with each bag. I do have four pockets on the inside of the cute pink one.
Here is the pink diaper bag and also a picture of the inside. There are 4  pockets.

Diaper Bags

Okay, first step is admitting you have a problem!

Yes, I went shopping for more fabric yesterday, I know, I have soooo much already. However, just wanted something new for a few diaper bags.

I found a really fun green and brown from Micheal Miller and a cheery, bright group of pinks, greens and brown from Free Spirits new line called Picnic Parade. Can't wait to post pictures.

I just got my new camera in the mail so hopefully I can figure it out and get my pictures downloaded to show you these great fabrics.
