Sew Busy

I have been sew busy sewing and sewing and a little more sewing. I have a big event February, 11th, 12th, and 13th.  It is a big consignment sale put on by The Savvy Mom. There will also be 40 vendors in a boutique setting.  It will be held at the Spring of Life Church at Crismon  and Southern in Mesa. Last year they had over 1000 people come through.
They also had three of the local networks advertise the event.
I will have my purses, my new totes, and my diaper/book bags.
Here is just a few of the ones I have finished.

You have seen pictures of my quilting studio but have not seen my sewing room. So I thought I would share a few pictures. Of course just of the clean side.

New Tote

Well, I finally got my new tote finished and ready to post.
These totes are amazing, they are great for going green, traveling, the beach, as well as the gym. My daughter has used her bag instead of a backpack for the last two years. It is easier on her back to carry this tote and she gets lots of compliments, she loves it because I let her pick her own fabric each year.
This tote can be made in several different sizes and many different color variations.
The tote is reversible so you can have two bags in one. They are extremely sturdy and have double reinforce bottom seams, which allows you to carry quite a bit of weight. The handles are padded for added comfort.
I have made two sizes, a larger one and a matching smaller one. They are a great Mommy and Me tote set or they can be purchased separately.
The larger tote is $30 and measure 22 inches across and 18 inches deep. The mini is $15 and measures 12 inches across by 10 inches deep. Purchase them as a set for $40.
I can make any color combo, just let me know your favorite colors. The smaller tote is on the top, my  pictures don't really show the difference is size. Maybe I can get my daughter to hold them for a picture in my next post.

Yeah, one more UFO finished.

Oh yeah, one more UFO finished. Okay, I will confess, I started this a year and a half ago for a very good friend of mine. When life got crazy I put it away. A few weeks ago I pulled it out and finished it. It is going to be a surprised for his birthday. I can tell you because he never checks out my blog, and if he does, then we will both be surprised. Him for his quilt and me that he took the time to read my blog.
The first photo is the quilt on my long arm machine.
It is a great feeling to get one of my many UFO completed.

I am busy sewing because I have signed up to be in The Savvy Mom sale in February.
This sound like a great event, it is a huge consignment sale where Mom's can bring slightly used baby goods and sell them. They are also having a boutique area with new items as well. I will have lots of purses, diaper/book bags a also my totes.
I am trying to come up with a name for my totes, I want to name them after my Mom.
She loved making these totes and giving them away to all her friends and family.
They are a great tote bag that is reversible and very sturdy, it is great for traveling, shopping, the gym, and the beach. I use my all the time and my daughter Amanda uses her for a bag for school.  I will have a Mother daughter set too. How fun is that?
Check back soon and I will have some posted.
Until then, have a great day and get it done in 2010 !!!

Ready for 2010

Hope everyone is ready for a wonderful 2010.
I have been busy finishing up some UFO's (unfinished objects) and making some new items to add to Sew Bella.
I have a great tote that I am going to be adding, this tote was one of my Mom's favorite. This tote is great for shopping, traveling, the beach and my daughter Amanda uses it for a school bag.  This is a great teacher gift, I have given one to Amanda's teacher since first grade. They have talked amongst themselves and this year her teacher was waiting for it. I love this tote because it is very sturdy and is also reversible. I have made it in several different sizes for all kinds of uses.
I also have some great new fabric for Diaper Bags, or Book Bags or whatever you want to use this size bag for.
