A very pretty Book Bag

When I saw this fabric in the quilt store,  I just had to have it.
It's called Eva, by Basic Grey for Moda.    It is rich shades of eggplant, lime green and a very pretty soft pink.
I couldn't believe it wasn't picked right away, but truth be told I just couldn't get the true colors when I photographed it.
At last, Brianna saw the fabric in person and had to have a Book bag made from it.
If I say so myself, it turned out stunning. I used pink and green crystals and they just enhanced the beauty of the fabric. I used the eggplant for the sides and outer handle and the lime green as the inner handle.
I wish you could see the true beauty and the way the crystals just sparkle and add such life.
Maybe I can get Brianna to send me a picture with her and her book bag.

Who would have thought ???

Who would have thought I would be jumping into Baby World?
I have been getting a lot of request for Diaper bags with matching accessories.
I also have a burp towel and diaper holder available.
I have been working on my new purse design and finally have it sketched out. I hope to have some time in the next week or so to get a prototype made. I have listen to all of your suggestions and hope this next purse will be one to add to your wardrobe.
Here is another picture of a Diaper bag and matching Baby wipes container I just finished.

Loves her tote.

I just wanted to share a great picture and a little story about my totes.
I made my good friend Nancy a tote a while back.
She went on a cruise and sent me this picture telling me how her tote came in handy on her travels.
She said she would take it with her empty to every port they stopped at and returned with it full each day. She said it was great because it held all of her new found treasures.
Can't wait to hear all about her cruise and all the treasure's she found.
Thanks Nancy !!!!!

Look what I have been up too!

You know how much I love fabric, and if you don't know that about me just come take a look at my stash. Some of my fabric is so dear to me I can't even bring myself to cut it up. Okay, first step is admitting you have a problem.
So last week at the boutique I was in,  I saw the cutest baby wipes containers and I said "How cute is this and why didn't they have these when I had my babies?"
Fast forward to this week, I was making a custom diaper bag for a customer and I had odd size scraps left over. The light bulb went off, instead of stashing all these little odd size pieces of left over fabric,( because I just can't throw them away- part of the disease) it dawned on me that I could use them to add accessories to their diaper bags.
Badda Bing !!!!!
Can you believe how cute this turned out!

Call me crazy !!!!

First, I wanted to Thank all my wonderful family and friends who came out last weekend to support me at my show. Love you all and I couldn't do it without you. Kristin, you are the best, and I am lucky to have you in my life.
So since my show my head has been spinning with ideas, I want to add more components to my Diaper Bags and I also want to design a new purse. I have it pictured  in my mind, now just have to get it from my head to the sewing machine.
So, call me crazy but I want to add even more embellishments, just look what I have been making.

I have been playing with fabric flowers, they are so fun to make. I have more ideas to try but have to finished my orders before I get sucked into another craft. I am also going to be adding a fun feature to my bags but I will share with you more in a month or so.

I have been having more fun browsing other blogs and have found  some great ones, take a few minutes and check out the ones I have added a link to.

The Sale.

My three day sale is over and now it is time to get sewing, and start planning for the next boutique.  I told my friend I was taking my business on the road.
I walked away with so many ideas, networked with a great group of women and really got my name and product out there.  I sold several Diaper Bags, a couple of purses and 5 totes, I also handed out a ton of my business cards .
Thanks to Sujean and Crissy, I now know where all the boutiques are held, which ones are good and which ones to stay away from. They were  both so generous with sharing information with me.
Sujean makes  cute hair bows, clips and headband as well as the cutes tutus I have seen. Check out her stuff at http://www.sujisuniquebowtique.com/
Crissy has great clothes and jewelry, we all had fun trying on all her fun rings and necklaces and all of us walked out with new jewelry. Crissy also sells  great jeans and fun embellished tops. She has a boutique in her home and does several boutiques around the valley. Her site is  http://www.splashdesignsboutique.blogspot.com/
I sat next to a great group of women who sell Arbonne. I knew it was a great product but learned so much more.  Want to learn more about Arbonne, contact Shannon Stair at http://www.shannonstair.myarbonne.com/
In the next few days I will be adding  more  blogs and websites from all the women I met this week.
I will also be adding some pictures of my table and display rack.
